Conference: Drug Treatment and Innovation. Looking at the substance user through a different lens.
Introduction: A conference aimed at exploring the mind and treatment of the substance user from a change perspective. Plus to launch the new book from Janus Solutions – The Resonance Factor: Exploring the Myth of Addiction.
Aimed at: This conference is for all professionals working with or coming in to contact with substance users, who would like to explore alternative perspectives on drug and alcohol treatment. This conference is very much about bringing real additionality to your everyday work and engagement when working with all users of substances.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE:
Huseyin Djemil: Director – Green Apple Consulting.

Dr Ranjeev Bhangoo MBChB FRCS (Neurologist) – will explore neuro-plasticity and the malleability of the brain to constantly adapt to new circumstances and challenges. Challenging the notion of the brain as an organ that becomes fixed with time
Kenneth Robinson BSc MSc (Addictive Behaviours) and co-founder of Janus Solutions will introduce you to The Resonance Factor:
A relational based treatment approach that explores the relationship formed by the substance user to the pleasure they derive from their substance use and the behaviour that is developed to legitimise their use.
The scope of the Resonance factor to support professionals encountering secondary issues such as eating disorders, domestic violence, the complexities of sex working etc will also be explored.
The experience of an individual/s that have been through an alternative treatment approach.
Mark Whiteley (Criminology) will explore crime and substance use through unifying criminological theory with alternate substance misuse approaches, to see if we can positively impact on this cohort through broadening our perspective of criminal and substance use behaviour by looking at the ‘relationship’ offenders have with both crime and substance use.
An introduction to three individuals that have been through an alternate substance misuse intensive training process – equipping them with the Resonance Factor.
