Janus Solutions was created to meet the needs of clients and professionals in substance use and related fields. Janus Solutions has come out of the belief that structured and thoughtful work can positively impact on this client group. Janus Solutions also recognizes that there is a major group of people who get very little support. The commercial workforce and organisations, which employ them, are often not geared to support their workers. Janus Solutions wishes to meet the needs of the adult work force as well as the 'traditional' dependent drug user.

About the name Janus

Janus was the god of gates in Roman mythology. In his role as the numen of gates and doors, Janus was also thought to represent beginnings. The explanation for this belief comes from the idea that one must emerge through a gate or door before entering a new place. Hence the image of Janus is often depicted with two faces, in this way, one of the god's faces could look forward, while the other looked backward.

Janus Solutions takes this meaning further i.e. to be Janus faced, having two contrasting aspects. In this case we are referring to drug use. One aspect of substances use is:
