Crack Cocaine “The Open Door”

Janus partners are author of the book Crack Cocaine:  the Open Door published in 2007.   The book asks poignant questions about the traditional role of the drug and alcohol worker as well as role and function of services.  It offers a new perspective on both and suggests alternative approaches and interventions that can be used with this client group.

Although the title suggests a focus on crack cocaine users, feedback from readers has suggested that the issues discussed are applicable to substance misuse services for all client groups.  In addition, readers have reported that the book empowers them to develop their engagement and intervention skills with all drug and alcohol users.
